A selfless wedding gift
When Gregg and Polly Freeman got married in May 2014, they told their guests they didn’t want any gifts. Instead, they selflessly suggested that friends and family donated money to acquire medical supplies for Chisala’s health and maternity clinic.
The equipment - which included a stethoscope, digital thermometer, diagnosis kits, digital blood pressure test, a nurse’s night vision pen, an electric baby scale and a diabetes kit and a year worth of strips supply - was shipped to Chisala in September.
To Elizabeth Nyali, the midwife in charge of the maternity ward, weighing a newborn using something else than the village sling scale makes such a difference.
Thank you Gregg and Polly for your incredible act of generosity.
